Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence: Practical Applications for Real Estate Appraisers @ Crowne Plaza
Mar 25 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

5:00 to 6:00 PM Meet and Greet with appetizers

6:00 to 8:00 PM Seminar

Instructors: Justin Gohn, MAI, SRA, CRE and Chandra Mast, CGA, BCA

This seminar provides real estate appraisers with a comprehensive understanding of how artificial intelligence is transforming the appraisal profession. Moving beyond basic chatbot interactions, the seminar explores the emerging “agentic” AI paradigm where AI systems can autonomously execute multi-step tasks, integrate with existing workflows, and assist with research, data collection, and report production. Participants will learn how AI augments rather than replaces professional judgment, and how to position themselves for success in the evolving landscape of knowledge work.

This workshop introduces modern “frontier” AI and how it can be used responsibly in real estate and valuation workflows. Participants will learn what these models can and can’t do, how to choose the right platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), and how to set basic personalization/privacy controls before using AI professionally. This session emphasizes prompt design fundamentals and practical, repeatable exercises to move from “whiz-bang” demos to reliable outputs – while staying grounded in confidentiality, transparency, and professional judgement.
